Stanford wants students to live up to the University's ideology and not have havens where they can live according to their own values, according to Evers, who received his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees from Stanford. He also worked on the Stanford campus for decades. Free speech is declining at Stanford, according to an evaluation by The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE). Williamson Evers recently wrote an Op-Ed in the Washington Examiner titled "At Stanford, the New Applied Science Is Social Engineering."
