Sr. Fellow Stephen Halbrook, author of The Right to Bear Arms is interviewed about the upcoming US Supreme Court case that may make it easier in some states to acquire a permit to carry a concealed weapon, as the Constitution allows. Forty two states allow concealed firearms with adequate training. Halbrook says the Supreme Court could make it easier to obtain a concealed carry permit in the eight states where it is extremely difficult to obtain such a license unless you are one of the "ruling class elite."

In the one-party state of California, educators are attempting to reject the idea that anyone is gifted in math, and make the goal in math social justice, not right answers or wrong answers. Competing with other students from other states and countries, Californians will be woke, but far behind in math.

California's public schools are considering the prohibition of advanced math classes for students until the 11th grade. Independent institute Senior Fellow Dr. Williamson Evers says this is worrisome because other countries are teaching advanced math classes to much younger children.

In the name of equity, California public schools are cancelling advanced math classes until 11th grade. Independent Institute Senior Fellow Dr. Williamson M. Evers, Director of Independent's Center on Education Excellence, says that California is cancelling merit in the name of identity politics is unfortunate for gifted students who may not be able to get into selective colleges. Dr. Evers also critically examines how the American Federation of Teachers union has been giving the CDC guidance as to when to reopen schools.
