Matthew E. Brown
Matthew E. Brown is Assistant Professor of Business Administration at the University of Illinois-Springfield. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Florida State University, and he has been a Research Associate with the Property and Environmental Research Center, Adjunct Professor of Economics at Montana State University and Santa Clara University, and Managing Editor of Econ Watch Journal. His articles have appeared in Regulation, The Independent Review, and Environmental Protection. He is a contributing author to the Independent Institute books, Property Rights: Eminent Domain and Regulatory Takings Re-Examined and Housing America: Building Out of a Crisis, and his areas of specialization include Financial Economics, Economic Growth and Institutions, Law and Economics.
