Jeffrey J. Pompe

Jeffrey J. Pompe is a Research Fellow at the Independent Institute, the Nellie Cooke Sparrow Professor of Business and Professor of Economics at Francis Marion University, and Francis Marion University Trustee Research Scholar. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Florida State University.

Professor Pompe’s articles have appeared in such scholarly journals as The Independent Review, Journal of Institutional Economics, Journal of Private Enterprise, Land Economics, Natural Resources Journal, Ocean & Coastal Management, Review of Regional Studies, and Southern Economic Journal.

He is co-author of the book Environmental Conflict: In Search of Common Ground and a contributing author to numerous volumes including Re-Thinking Green: Alternatives to Environmental Bureaucracy, Land Rights: The 1990s’ Property Rights Rebellion, and South Carolina Governance Project in Civil Education.
