Richard Weikart is Professor of History at the California State University, Stanislaus. He received his Ph.D. in history from the University of Iowa and he is the recipient of the Selma V. Forkosch Prize for the best article in the Journal of the History of Ideas. He is the author of the books: From Darwin to Hitler: Evolutionary Ethics, Eugenics, and Racism in Germany Professor Weikarts articles and reviews have appeared in such scholarly journals as American Historical Review, Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Isis, German Studies Review, European Legacy, Journal of Religion, History of European Ideas, History: Reviews of New Books, Human Life Review, and Fides et Historia. He is a contributor to the volumes: Encyclopedia of Science, Technology, and Ethics
