Daniel D. Polsby

Daniel D. Polsby is Dean and Professor of Law in the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University (GMU), and a Research Fellow at the Independent Institute. He moved to GMU after serving 23 years on the Northwestern University law faculty, most recently (since 1990) as the Kirkland & Ellis Professor of Law. He received his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota, and he has also taught at law at the University of Southern California, the University of Michigan, and Cornell University.

He is the author dozens of articles and reviews in scholarly journals, and his popular articles have appeared in such publications as The Atlantic, Chicago Tribune, The Economist, Los Angeles Times, Reason, Human Events, Chicago Sun Times, National Review, and Regulation.
