Max Hocutt
Max Hocutt is Professor of Philosophy Emeritus at the University of Alabama. He received his Ph.D. in philosophy from Yale University and has been a Member Sub-Faculty of Philosophy at Oxford University; Visiting Fellow at Princeton University; Royal Bank of Scotland Research Fellow at St. Andrews University; and Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Chairman of the Department of Philosophy at the University of South Florida. A contributor to many scholarly volumes and journals, Professor Hocutt is the author of the books, The Elements of Logical Analysis and Inference, First Philosophy: An Introduction to Philosophical Issues and Grounded Ethics: The Empirical Bases of Normative Judgments.
