Rebeca Zuñiga is the former Digital Communications Director at the Independent Institute. She has a B.S. in social communications from­ Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala and has done post graduate studies on online learning environments. Born and raised in Guatemala, she is former Director of the New Media Department at Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala City, curator and organizer of TEDxUFM (2011 - 2015), and a visual note-taking practitioner. She is also the author of the eBook, Curso de Producción de Vídeo para Internet (Guias Maestros del web) (2010 Spanish Edition), on video production for the Internet.
