Barbara Klimaszewski-Blettner

Barbara Klimaszewski-Blettner is a research assistant and doctoral candidate at the Munich School of Management’s Institute for Risk and Insurance Management at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitaet (LMU) Munich, Germany. She holds a Diploma in business administration as well as a Master in Business Research from LMU. Barbara received the Ottmar Buhler-Award 2007 for excellent student achievements in business management as well as the Mark Dorfman Doctoral Student Award 2008 at the Western Risk and Insurance Association annual meeting. Her research interests lie in the area of catastrophe risk management, the major field of her Ph.D. thesis. In 2010, she will spend a research visit at the Risk Management and Decision Processes Center at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
