Let’s Abolish the Corporate Income Tax

Did you know that Burger King is about to become a Canadian company? That Walgreens is about to become Swiss? And that Medtronics is set to become Irish? What does this mean to you and me? Not much of anything. It’s just some paper shuffling. Although Burger King could actually move to Canada, in most cases like this the corporate headquarters stay put. So do the managers and workers. But these maneuvers, called “corporate inversions,” mean a lot to Uncle Sam.
