Concerns about environmental injustice have prompted regulatory agencies to investigate whether or not emissions from industrial facilities affect minorities disproportionately. Although Mississippi is thought by some to have among the worst pollution offenses against minorities and the poor, a new study shows that air pollution levels are not much different in parts of the state with higher black representation.
