Two Worlds: Politics and Everything Else

Do the two worlds—politics and nonpolitics—attract different kinds of people? Although it’s easy to see that incentives and constraints foster different styles of discourse and conduct, it’s hard to reject the hypothesis that the world of politics attracts a different mentality than the world of science, technology, and the practical arts and crafts.
