Yuri N. Maltsev is Professor of Economics at Carthage College. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the Institute for Labor Research in Moscow, Russia, and he has been a member of a team of Soviet economists that worked on President Mikhail Gorbachevs policy of perestroika and a Senator William Jennings Peace Fellow at the United States Institute of Peace.
A contributing author to ten books, he is the editor of the book,
Requiem for Marx, and he has appeared on various television and radio programs, including PBS NewsHour, C-SPANn, CNN, Financial Network News, Voice of America, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, National Public Radio, and Wisconsin Public Radio.
