The Obama administration wants to change the practice of medicine. Marcus Welby is out. Working in teams is inespecially in large practices owned by hospitals. Along the way, doctors are being subjected to pay-for-performance protocols and other forms of managed/integrated/coordinated care.
How is all that working? Not well at all.
