The federal government should not determine how millions of children across the country are educated, says Alger. Private parental choice scholarship programs are getting better results at a fraction of the cost of the US Department of Education's budget. Voucher scholarships and Educational Savings Accounts let parents choose alternatives to their failing public schools.
