Scott Ackerson, LMSW, is Executive Vice President of Prospera Housing Community Services and former Principal at Health Management Associates, Inc., and former Vice President of Strategic Relationships for Haven for Hope in San Antonio, Texas.

Ackerson brings 20+ years of non-profit experience in community organization, program development/management, and direct social-work practice. Prior to Prospera, he was a consultant for Health Management Association (HMA), working in areas of health, housing, and social determinants of health. Prior to HMA, as VP of Transformational Services at Haven for Hope, he led administrative and clinical oversight over Haven’s social service operations, education/workforce development and partner organizations. Later, he transitioned to VP of Strategic Relationships, providing oversight of partner relations and strategic community development and expanded his role to oversee all services offered by The Center for Health Care Services on Haven’s campus, primarily in addiction and mental-health recovery.

Ackerson is also an Adjunct Professor of Social Work and serves on several non-profit boards. Previously, he served as Chief Program Officer for SAM Ministries, as Vice President of Residential Services for The Children’s Shelter and as Community Program Director with Casey Family Programs. Ackerson received his Master’s in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University.
