Daniel Klein is a Research Fellow at the Independent Institute; Professor of Economics and JIN Chair at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, where he leads a program in Adam Smith; Associate Fellow of the Ratio Institute; and Chief Editor of Econ Journal Watch. He received his Ph.D. in economics from New York University and he has been an Associate Professor of Economics and General Director of the Civil Society Institute at Santa Clara University; a Visiting Fellow in the Social Philosophy and Policy Center at Bowling Green State University; Visiting Scholar at the City University in Stockholm; Assistant Professor of Economics, University of California, Irvine; and Visiting Scholar, Department of Economics, Stanford University. He is co-editor with Alexander Tabarrok of the Independent Institute’s web site, FDAReview.org.
