Ludwig von Mises can be considered a feminist economist. Mises was a great promoter of women’s development and freedom, as shown by his book on socialism, which addresses both marriage and violence toward women. More fundamentally, the epistemological and methodological foundations of Mises’s praxeology are compatible with Feminist Economics theory and claims. Feminist theory could be enriched with many of Mises’s ideas to make it more rigorous.
