Join Advancing American Freedom for “The Future of the Right: Conservatism at a Crossroads on Both Sides of the Atlantic,” an afternoon forum co-hosted with the Robert Bosch Foundation Alumni Association and the American Council on Germany. The discussion will explore the economic questions dividing conservatives in the United States and Europe and their potential consequences for free markets, trade, and the broader economy.
Phillip W. Magness, Senior Fellow and David J. Theroux Chair in Political Economy at the Independent Institute, will be featured alongside panelists from Advancing American Freedom, the Hudson Institute, the Vandenberg Coalition, and more. Dr. Magness will provide an examination of the economic issues facing the Right today, including the growing tension between free-market principles and economic postliberalism.
The forum will consider why the choice between free markets and postliberalism could have consequences extending far beyond party politics, affecting trade, investment, and prosperity broadly. The discussion will also examine how leadership on the Right can meet these economic challenges of the next decade.
