John Hasnas
John Hasnas

John Hasnas is a Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center, a Professor of Ethics in the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, and the Executive Director of the Georgetown Institute for the Study of Markets and Ethics. He received his J.D. and Ph.D. in legal philosophy from Duke University, and his LL.M. in legal education from Temple University Law School.

He has also taught at Duke University School of Law, George Mason University School of Law, Washington College of Law at American University, Kennedy Institute of Ethics, Bowling Green State University, and Temple University School of Law.

His books include Better Ethics for Better Behavior (with Jason Brennan, William English, and Peter Jaworski) and Trapped: When Acting Ethically Is Against the Law, and he is a contributor to numerous scholarly journals and books. His popular articles have appeared in such publications as The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Beyond Computing, The Hill Congress Blog, Fortune, Worth Magazine, and Baltimore Sun.
