Emre Kuvvet

Emre Kuvvet is a Research Fellow at the Independent Institute and Associate Professor of Finance in the H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University. He received his M.S. in finance from the Rochester Institute of Technology and Ph.D. in business administration from the University Memphis, he has served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Fnance at Texas A&M University, and his research includes issues in law and finance, corporate misconduct, political economy of finance, market microstructure, and FinTech.

He has published articles in such scholarly journals as Financial Management, Financial Review, Applied Economics, International Review of Economics and Finance, International Business Review, Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, Managerial Finance, Econ Journal Watch, Journal of Economics and Finance, Journal of Investing, Review of Pacific Basin Financial Markets and Policies, Academic Questions, Journal of Trading, Empirical Economics Letters, and Journal of Financial Planning.

Professor Kuvvet is the recipient of the Outstanding Paper Award from Southern Finance Association, and his popular articles have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, New York Times, Guardian, Les Echos, Kitces, and The CFA Digest.
