J. I. Packer

J. I. Packer is Board of Governors' Professor of Theology at Regent College in Canada and a member of the Board of Advisors for the Center on Culture and Civil Society at the Independent Institute.

Professor Packer received his Ph.D. from Corpus Christi College at Oxford University, has taught at Oak Hill Theological College and Tyndale Hall Bristol, and has served as Assistant Curate of Harborne Heath, Librarian of Latimer House, Principal of Tyndale Hall, Associate Principal of Trinity College, and Sangwoo Youtong Chee Professor of Theology at Regent College. He has been General Editor of the English Standard Version of the Revised Standard Version of the Bible, and Theological Editor of the Study Bible version. It was as a student at Oxford where he first met C.S. Lewis whose teachings would become a major influence in his life.
