Obamacare consultant Jonathan Gruber has become a pariah these days. The MIT professor has been losing contracts with state governments almost on a daily basis. He is being excoriated by the right wing media. And now the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is asking lawmakers not to seat him next to Medicares top official when the two testify on Capitol Hill today.
Gruber and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Marilyn Tavenner are both scheduled to appear as witnesses before the Government Oversight panel, chaired by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif). Having the two seated togetherwith all the resulting photoswould be a public relations nightmare for the administration, says Instapundit.com.
