Halbrook talks about the history of gun registration in the Weimar Republic in 1931 and warned that the records not wind up "in the wrong hands." Two years later, when the Nazi party assumed power in Germany, the "wrong hands" were indeed in charge of those records and law abiding Jews and other "Enemies of the State" were disarmed by the Nazis.
