Eland believes that the U.S. should give negotiations a chance to work and that any military action the U.S. or Israel might take would require an invasion of Iran. McElroy discusses the falsified research, or so-called “advocacy research” on such topics such as college rape and domestic violence. The results, she says, is hysteria on college campuses and demonization of black males. Flawed statistics from this research have been used in legislation such as the Violence Against Women Act, according to McElroy.
