As we approach the ten-year anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, the Independent Institute urges everyone to respectfully reflect on this horrific tragedy and its aftermath, and in the process take note of leading defense and foreign policy analysts who have consistently responded to the tragedy with practical and principled perspectives amidst the confused and misguided measures coming from Washington. Within days of the attacks, the Institute uniquely issued the prophetic “Statement on the Terrorist Attacks,” and this analysis has never wavered since.

Senior Fellow and author Ivan Eland, Senior Fellow Charles V. Peña, and Research Editor Anthony Gregory continue to provide expert analysis that has withstood a decade of political and emotional gyrations and gigantic expansions of government power and spending.
