With the Obama White House and others pushing for new forms of gun controls, Independent Institute Research Fellow Stephen P. Halbrook was recently interviewed by Glenn Beck on Fox News Channel on the new efforts to force gun owners to purchase a $1 million insurance policy in order to have Second Amendment rights.

Dear Mr. Beck:
Everyday I become angrier because of the Liberal left’s assault on our Second Amendment Rights.
It would be interesting to know how many of those Liberals now in power own guns themselves. I will only give up my guns when each and every individual in America, including law enforcement, all military personnel, and criminals give up their guns also. That will never happen, but it is the only way “gun control” could even come close to working. So in the meantime, I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by six.
I’m keeping my guns no matter what.

Thanks again for your enlightening interviews with such great people as Mr. Halbrook.
Until we the people stand up and set the record straight with our representatives, including our President, then our government will run amuck to our constitutional rights.
I served our country and now my daughter serves our counry in the U.S.A.F. I have always flown our flag with great pride no matter how opposed I was on issues or things our government has done. However, I have taken it down now as I am very ashamed of our current government and the oppression through deceit they are propagating on “We the People.”
My thought of late though has been to fly the flagupside down which as you know signifies trouble, which I, as so many others know we are in.
As a responsible gun owner and a believer in the U.S. Constitution, I’m with Barbara Lindsley on “I would rather be judge by 12 than carried by 6.”
I too am keeping my guns no matter what.

This group of stooges that is now in control of our government are tromping all over the Constitution and need to be stopped. If we do not vote them out after their terms in office are over, we deserve what will come next. Stand up and fight for your rights as American citizens so that our children and grandchildren will have a decent place to live. We owe them that.

The elected officials who are not in office need to be voted out when their terms are over . . . all of them. Perhaps if we start over in three and three-quarter years with as many different ones who are due for reelection, we will have a better chance of having leaders who revere the Constitution and will try to uphold it instead of trying to negate it. We owe it to the generations to come to get out of debt and leave them a country that is what it was intended to be.

It looks like we got the government that we deserve. The American poeple have not been good citizens. Just look at congress. These morons are our representatives and thus reflect what we have become, a nation of whining girly-men, waiting for the next handout. I seem to be a rebel, though. Coincidentally, the day I received my Gadsden Flag and CSA Battle Flag, there was an article about militia member’s beliefs and the flags they like. I must be a potential militia member because I’ve always liked the Gadsden Flag from childhood. It actually means something! My guns will ONLY be pried from my cold, dead hands. My wife also feels the same way as I do and she’s a big-time pacifist!

In 2003, 2 people, Maryann Davids and Robert Franklin Davids( both of these people are beyond being bi-polar) repeatedly called the people that take your children away from you (Fla. D.C.F.), based upon me owning firearms and having a child, they came to my home and threatened my wife into either giving them the child or turning over my firearms to them.
(Maryann and Robert Davids have a documented history ( case # 91-5508-fd-12) with the Pinellas County Court System of severe mental problems, Robert Davids has a Guardian Ad Litem report in which it is specifically noted that 2 of his youngest children died in a house fire of mysterious origins on a U.S. Army Base, and other severe instances of mental instability then, and to date.)
(Maryann has a very long history of severe medicated mental instability, marital discord, child neglect arrests, that she almost went to prison for, and other severe instances of writing bad checks, Robert Davids is a convicted felon for writing bad checks, and both of these people were the direct catalyst of turning me into a convicted felon).
(both of the above people have this report on them long before I ever met them, this report looks like someone wrote this about someone as a joke to scare people, but this report happens to be true).
In short order, this is how my right to own a firearm, vote, hold occupational license’s, obtain a job that would enable me to stop looking on a criminal ladden con artist, scammers website called Craigslist just to get 6 dollar an hour jobs or work without getting paid.
I went to these people’s house to return 5 dollars and a box of girl scout cookies for my wife who was unable to go there and do this, I had my son with me and I also went into there house with a .40 cal handgun that I did not want to leave in my truck in the neighborhood that they lived in, I did not go in there with a show and tell agenda with the HG.
When I left their house they obviously called D.C.F. on me, these people showed up at my home a few day’s later with St. Petersburg Police Officer’s, (this is how they skirt the warrant requirement by using the excuse that a child is involved in order to get into your home when I was at work, to scare the wife into losing our child or turn over guns to the “authorities”).(after i was arrested this St. Petyersburg police department tried to get my wife fired for associating with a known criminal–I have the memo’s)
I was subsequently arrested and charged with “Felon in constructive possession of a firearm”, as no other law was broken for the reasoning for them to call D.C.F. on me when I was at there house, as they have always come to my home (Maryann is the biological mother of my wife) and knew that I owned firearms, This is the arrest that put me on felony probation for 1 year on the listed charge, the Police Officer that arrested me was subsequently found by Internal Affairs to be guilty of trying to steal my watch(I have the documentation to prove this, and everything else you are reading which leads to my constitutional rights being taken away.
In doing some research I came across an arrest from NJ in April 1989 where there were no fingerprints and I did not go to any jail on a misdemeanor conviction for trespassing in a car, I was then re-arrested and spent 7 day’s in the county jail in NJ for driving while license suspended in December of 1991, they used those fingerprints from December 1991 and attached them to the arrest for trespassing in a car in April 1989 and said that was the proof needed to sustain the “felony” in April of 1989, they did this with a sneaky act called “Judicial Notice”, when a Judge takes Judicial Notice of a document, you cannot do anything about it, it can’t be challenged, I got the document of the misdeameanor conviction of April 1989 from the State Department in Tampa Florida when I was a Trained Security Guard.
Approximately 7 months later, I had people waiting for me to arrive at my home when I got done working in which they instigated a fight with me because they sold drugs (i hope you can see the mentality here, 12 “witness’s waiting for 1″–the intent here was to get us evicted for fighting with the neighbors, because the whole complex was selling drugs, I was arrested for aggravated assault against a guy that broke my arm with a golf club and also causing me to have stitches in my elbow, I told the Police officer that my arm was broken, it took over 2 hours to go to the hospital which was only about 5 miles away at 1 am(no traffic)all the while this officer is doubting that my arm was broken, to be told by the orderly that my arm was indeed broken, the officer that arrested me was the same one that tried to steal my watch.(one of the people that was a “witness” against me and a friend of the guy that broke my arm (Christopher Barry)is actually a convicted felon for robbing his own mothers house–Jason Andrew Baker,
(when he hit me with the golf club, I ran into my home and came out with a baseball bat, but I never hit anyone with it, he drove off and went to a 7/11 convenience store and threw the bat in the dumpster, this was actually not the truth, he did go to the dumpster to throw the gun away that he pressed into my chest above my right breast, it left a bruise consistant with a smith and wesson type handgun, a six shot type wheel gun, i had a right to be where I was at, I lived there, he did not live there, the only reason I can think of as to why he didn’t pull the trigger was that his 2 friends were standind behind me kicking me, the bullet probably would have gone through me and into one of them).
I spent from May 4th 2004 to September 10th 2004 in the Pinellas County jail, then was convicted of this while on the “probation from the other felony”, and was sent to the Florida Department of Corrections State prison in Avon Park Florida until April 23rd 2006.
The problems I have had as a direct result of owning firearms and knowing the Davids and vice versa, which has brought the St. Petersburg Police to my home numerous times without me being arrested for anything as i did not break the law, I also was not a felon then, nor have I ever been accused of or told that I was A felon even when the police were in my home and knew that I owned firearms, saw these firearms and ammunition and did multiple background checks on me then, but all of the sudden (the firearms that pretty much were stolen from me by Law enforcement were a custom Marlin30/30, an old French MAS Rifle in 7.5mm X 54mm, a never fired Russian SKS (ser. # cccp XXXXXXXXX) still in the bag, a Remington Viper .22 long rifle, the only ammunition I ever had was for the 30/30, 20 rounds.
Without having to retype all the paperwork, I have the documents I have kept, this is what i have to prove, how they can turn anyone into a felon when they want to and there isn’t anything you can do about it:
To prove the False Judicial Notice:
The whole document with both pages, that the State Attorney used, and took the second page off and replaced it with misdeameanor fingerprints///how a Judge could approve the Judicial Notice when it clearly states that the finger prints attached to the April 1989 arrest, were taken in December of 1991.
This is presenting an altered and tampered document supplied with false fingerprints to a Circuit Court Judge, all of which are Felonies.

They asked me if I was ever a member of the N.R.A.,
I was, and long before 2001, when they knew that, it became extremely difficult or impossible to be heard in the courtroom, and the public defender kept telling me that I was the one that was incorrigable, the definition by Websters Dictionary —incapable of being corrected or amended: as not reformable, depraved, delinquent, not manageable, unruly, unalterable !!!
the one D.C.F. woman said that only white nutcases are members of the N.R.A., and that we and the N.R.A. have no place.
Also have proof of them changing the charge to a felony, then changing it to a 3rd dgree felony, then to a 4th degree felony, then re-wording the charges, a copy of the document the state attorney filed as a notice of judicial notice, that was Judicially Noticed, and the same document I had in my possession when the State Department requested it in it’s un-altered original form from back in 1998.
Something is really wrong here, I can’t do anything about it out of fear of since I am know a felon, or on the lowest rung in the social ladder, I’ll end up back in prison. I don’t stand a chance.
these people have already taken my child to have a Judge order them to immediately return the child where I could not even live in my home or be in my home during these useless investigations which have all been unfounded, but still ordered to undergo psychiatric exams by a doctor of my choosing, and then when it doesn’t go to the courts advantage, they order me to the court supplied doctor which runs counter to my doctors.(If I am such a horrible Dad, or we are such horrible parents, then what would be the reasoning for my son having a grade point average of 4.0, being on the honor roll every year since he has been in school, and my wife(our son’s mother)is a Shift Supervisor with the rank of Sergeant and in good standing as a uniformed Sheriffs Deputy for the Pinellas County Sheriffs Office?)
These courts will, and do use every means to take guns away from us, I am a prime example, if you do not believe this is happening or has happened, just look at cigarettes, it’s the same thing, 2 side’s–you smoke and we don’t like people who smoke–you own firearms and we don’t like people who own firearms, you like trucks, we don’t, etc…..they will in essence, price them so high you have to give it up, same thing with firearms, from micro branding, exoribitantly high ammunition prices, 3 day waiting periods, firearms being confiscated during hurricanes, banning of lead ammunition, legal loopholes to turn you into a felon by proxy, even the Walmart’s here, when you buy ammunition, the cash register ask’s the employee if the ammunition is for a handgun, you can see this in the price window, and you think this isn’t happening, we now have one of the most anti-gun senator’s as the new Secretary of State, hillary rodham clinton, what a joke.
So even though I am screwed, please do not think of me as the reason you own firearms, I am not what you read about in the anti-gun news network, already prejudiced before I ever went to court
because I choose to be a member of the N.R.A., I am no longer a member of the N.R.A. because I wouldn’t want the anti-2nd’s to throw me into the crowd of felons being members of and putting down the N.R.A.
I have been reduced to living in more fear of my own Government, I can’t even defend myself in my own home, I am petrified of someone breaking into my home, I can’t defend my wife or child out of fear of being re-arrested and sent back to prison, I am completely disgusted, 911 is laughable, it is currently the only self defense that is available to me, it actually seems like a means to supply people with a number to call so that we can help the judicial system keep the jails and prison’s well stocked.
Since I have not been living in Pinellas County Florida, and the Davids are at least 30 miles away, I have had absolutely no problems with Law Enforcement, not even been given a traffic ticket for anything, let alone pulled over, I have had a fishing license in Florida since 1995 I think, and have never been ticketed for any wildlife violations, I have never been arrested for any gun or knife offense’s, except for the arrest on May 4th, 2004.
I am so worried right now that in typing this to you, I hope it is making sense.

We see pictures of cars in Mexico sprayed with bullets as evidence of illegal guns. However, it is clear that those bullet spray patters are coming from a full automatic weapon. Mexico is suppose to have very strict gun control laws. US has severe restrictions on the ownership of full automatic weapons. So just where are these Mexican Drug Cartel Owned Automatic Weapons coming from?
I asked a friend who was a former Maricopa AZ county Sheriff and was advised that the weapons are probably being stolen from the Mexican Military when the soldier goes awol along with anything else they can run away with. Does anyone really know the source of these full automatic weapons? My friend theorized that these weapons are probably coming from Belgium, China, and North Korea and possibly routed thru Venezuela.
Does anyone really know? Is the present US Administration blaming the US people for the source of these automatic weapons to further an assult on our 2nd Amendment right to gun ownership?

I have just received from a friend and fellow gun owner a copy of bill HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing and Record of Sales Act 2009.
This is a blatant act on the part of the Obama administration to remove guns from the citizens of this country. We recently tried to buy ammo for a .22 rifle and were not able to get any. We were told the store didn’t know when/or if any would be available. We live in the country and it’s not like we were going to overthrow the country—just keep a few four legged varmints under control. This proposed bill is frightening and more people should be made aware of it.
