Preston Martin

Preston Martin (1923–2007) was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of WestFed Holdings and formerly Vice Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank and Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Indiana University.

Dr. Martin was also Chairman of the Department of Economics at the University of Southern California, Founder of ERG Economic Research Group and PMI Mortgage Insurance Company, California State Savings and Loan Commissioner, and a Member of the Board of Directors at Lincoln Savings and Loan. He later established Seraco Enterprises, a subsidiary of Sears, Roebuck and Company based in the Sears Tower in Chicago, and was appointed a Member of the Board of Directors of Sears.
