Ralph Raico

Ralph Raico is Professor Emeritus of History at Buffalo State College and Associate Editor of The Independent Review. Professor Raico received his Ph.D. under F.A. Hayek in the Committee on Social Thought at the University of Chicago, where he was also co-editor of The New Individualist Review.

His articles have appeared in numerous scholarly volumes and journals, and his books include Die Partei der Freiheit: Studien zur Geschichte des deutschen Liberalismus and translated into English the book, Liberalism, by Ludwig von Mises, as wel as numerous essays by F.A. Hayek that are now contained in Hayek's Collected Works. He has also served as Senior Editor for Inquiry and in 2000, he received the Gary G. Schlarbaum Prize for Lifetime Achievement in the Cause of Liberty.
