Megan E. Sarsfield is a Policy Researcher with the Center on Entrepreneurial Innovation, at the Independent Institute. She earned her B.A. from Baylor University, where she studied classics, history and political science as a University Scholar. She graduated Magna Cum Laude. Her honors thesis examined James Madison’s and Thomas Jefferson’s views on Lockean property rights. She earned her Masters of Letters with Distinction in intellectual history from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Her dissertation analyzed James Fenimore Cooper’s thoughts on common pitfalls of democracy in relation to his outspoken support of Andrew Jackson.
