Stephanie Freedman is the former Publicity Coordinator at the Independent Institute. She received her B.S. in political science and B.A. in journalism and media studies from San Diego State University, and she has pursued extended studies in International Affairs at Oxford University. She has recently completed advanced training in Public Relations and New Media from the Leadership Institute.

Ms. Freedman has worked in the Employment Placement Services Department at the Leadership Institute, various congressional campaigns, and the Public Affairs Department at the San Diego Unified School District, while fundraising for the Lymphoma Leukemia Society.
