Stewart Goetz is Chairman of the Department of Philosophy and Religion at Ursinus College and a member of the Board of Advisors for the
Center on Culture and Civil Society at the Independent Institute. He received his Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Notre Dame and he has been a National Endowment for Humanities Summer Fellow at Stanford University.
A contributor to numerous scholarly volumes, Professor Goetz is the author of the books
Freedom, Teleology, and Evil and
Naturalism (with Charles Taliaferro), and his articles have appeared in such scholarly journals as the
American Philosophical Quarterly, Faith and Philosophy, International Journal for the Philosophy of Religion, Midwest Studies in Philosophy, Mind, Pacific Philosophical Quarterly, Philosophical Studies, and
Philosophy and Phenomenological Research and Religious Studies.
