Mary L. G. Theroux
Mary L. G. Theroux is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Independent Institute. She is the co-author of the Independent Policy Report Beyond Homeless: Good Intentions, Bad Outcomes, Transformative Solutions, and host of its companion documentary, Beyond Homeless: Finding Hope. She is the former Chairman and a current member of the San Francisco Salvation Army Advisory Board, and Founding Chairman and current member of the Alameda County Salvation Army Advisory board. She served on the National Advisory Board of The Salvation Army from 2003 – 2022.
Michael Seiler
Michael Seiler is the Chief Impact Officer for Beyond Homeless, a community of cross-sector Bay Area leaders working to significantly impact homelessness here, and provide a model that can be adopted in communities around the country. He is an impact strategist, fueling mission driven organizations with growth through innovation, marketing, and community. His clients include the impact teams at Google, Salesforce, The Clinton Foundation, The Lilly School of Philanthropy, Sony Music Entertainment, VetsinTech, and Urban Vision Alliance.
Adrian Covert
Adrian Covert is Senior Vice President of Public Policy for the Bay Area Council, representing more than 330 of the Bay Area’s largest employers, seeking to make the Bay Area the best place to live and work. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from San Francisco State University, plays baseball in the Pacific Coast Hardball League, and writes about old bars—including authoring the 2016 book “Taverns of the American Revolution.”
Steve Adami
Steve Adami is Executive Director of The Way Out, a recovery-focused homeless initiative of The Salvation Army San Francisco featured in the film. He was formerly Director of the Reentry Division at the San Francisco Adult Probation Department. He earned a Master's Degree in Public Administration (Public Policy/Criminal Justice); was inducted into Pi Alpha Alpha, a National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration; and received the Barbara Jordan Award for Academic Excellence from San Francisco State University.
